Offering the simplicity of Chrome by Google, Yandex.Browser is a new browser that is based on Chromium. It is pretty obvious to see the similarities to Chrome when you first start using this browser. However, the differences are not as clearly noticeable. The layouts between the two are basically the same.
The difference with Yandex.Browser is that when you open a new tab, you will see a drop down of the most-visited sites or suggested sites appear and is simple to edit.
Another difference is when you type in the Yandex.Brower search bar, you can choose which of the displayed search engines you would like to use. This is the same for the suggested addresses as well. The only other real difference is the presence of a button next to the search bar that will take you to the Russian Yandex home.
Beyond these differences, there is really no reason to choose Yandex.Browser over Chrome or any of the other Chromium based browsers, unless you specifically don’t want to use Google products.
If you use Yandex’s email and search services, then it would only make sense to use their browser as well. It is easy to use and it is also a Yandex product, so it will see some success.
